What you can safely check: verify the keypad has power at the pedestal (look for the small LED - on AC-RK units it’s near the bottom), test your gate with the remote to confirm the operator itself works, and check whether the issue affects all codes or just one. If it’s one code, try deleting and reprogramming it using the master code sequence in your manual.

Where DIY goes wrong: Linear intercom systems run on low voltage, but they’re still connected to your house phone line or a dedicated 2-wire path that can carry induced voltage from nearby irrigation solenoids. We’ve seen homeowners short the phone pair and fry the indoor station board. Keypad replacement looks simple - four bolts, three wire nuts - but the wire color code changed between Linear production runs. Blue was data on 2015 units; blue became common on 2018 units.
