Meet the Chandler Team Behind Vance Gate Repair Chandler

The crew running our Chandler shop isn’t a rotating cast of subcontractors. These are the same faces who show up to your gate, who know which FAAC 415 models fail first in Arizona dust, and who’ve learned which neighborhoods in Chandler have the older Viking operators from the 2012 building boom. What ties them together is simple: they can explain what broke, fix it, and leave you with a photo log and a written price. No drama, no upsell.

Our People

Adrian Vance, Owner

I started this company in 2014 after ten years wiring commercial access-control systems for warehouses and distribution centers in Phoenix and Tucson. That commercial habit of documenting everything - wiring diagrams, test readings, before-and-after photos - became the core of how we run residential jobs under The Haven Standard. I still ride along on tricky calls, especially when a gate motor’s doing something that doesn’t match any error code in the manual. My wife says I talk about limit switches at dinner. She’s not wrong. I handle the final sign-off on every job that needs custom welding or access-control integration, and I’m the one who answers the phone at 11 p.m. when the overnight crew at a Chandler auto shop can’t get their security gate to close.

Marcus T., Lead Technician

Marcus has been with us since 2019, which in gate-repair years means he’s seen roughly everything. His specialty is diagnosing intermittent failures - the gate that works fine at 9 a.m. but stalls at 6 p.m., the opener that beeps randomly with no code. He’s factory-trained on LiftMaster, FAAC, and Linear systems, and he’s the technician we send when a customer has already had two other companies out who couldn’t replicate the problem. Marcus carries a thermal camera in his truck to spot overheating control boards before they fail completely. Off the clock, he rebuilds vintage motorcycles in his garage in Gilbert, which explains why he’s patient with finicky mechanical systems. He’ll tell you straight if a motor’s worth saving or if you’re throwing money at a part that’s already living on borrowed time.

Diana R., Senior Installer

Diana joined us in 2021 after running her own small fencing company in Mesa for four years. She brought with her a sharp eye for gate alignment and post-setting in Arizona’s caliche-heavy soil, which is why she handles all new gate installations and full motor replacements in Chandler. She’s certified in welding and fabrication, so when a custom iron gate needs a new hinge bracket or a sagging frame needs reinforcement, she doesn’t call a subcontractor - she fixes it on-site. Diana’s particular about safety edges and photo-eye placement; she measures twice, photographs the final position, and won’t leave until she’s tested the reverse cycle with a weighted object. She lives in Chandler with two dogs who escape every fence she’s ever built, which she says keeps her humble.

Elena K., Service Coordinator

Elena is the voice you hear when you call (520) 827-3159 at any hour. She’s been with Vance Gate Repair since 2022, and she knows the inventory in every truck, which technician is closest to your neighborhood, and whether your described symptoms sound like a dead capacitor or a stripped worm gear. Before she joined us, she spent six years dispatching for an HVAC company, so she’s unflappable when three emergency calls come in during a dust storm. Elena schedules the free second-opinion appointments, pulls the photo records when a customer has a follow-up question, and makes sure every written estimate gets to you before the technician starts work - Haven Standard Clause 1, no exceptions. She drinks too much coffee and has a whiteboard in her office tracking every 365-Day Done Right Promise we’ve honored this year.

Jorge V., Apprentice Technician

Jorge started with us in 2024 after completing a mechatronics program at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. He’s shadowing Marcus and Diana on every type of call, from simple photo-eye realignments to full access-control reprogramming. He’s already certified in low-voltage wiring and is working toward his factory credentials on BFT and DoorKing systems. Jorge asks more questions than any apprentice we’ve had, which is exactly what we want - he’d rather slow down a job to understand why a fix works than guess and have to return. He grew up in Chandler’s Andersen Springs neighborhood and points out gates he used to walk past as a kid, now wondering how many of them we’ll eventually service. He keeps a notebook of every error code he’s encountered, organized by brand, which the rest of the team has started borrowing.

One Standard, Every Job

One Standard, Every Job

The Haven Standard isn’t a slogan we print on shirts. It’s three clauses that govern how every technician on this team operates, whether the job is in Chandler, Tucson, or anywhere else we serve across Arizona.

Clause 1: Have it in writing. Before any work starts, you get a flat, itemized price on paper. Not a range, not a “plus materials” estimate. The number you approve is the number on the invoice.

Clause 4: Evidence on every job. Every visit produces a photographed record - what we found, what we adjusted, what we replaced. You get a copy; we file one in your job record. This isn’t extra; it’s built into every call.

The 365-Day Done Right Promise. If a repair we completed fails within one year, we make it right. No re-diagnosis fee, no argument about whether it was “the same issue.” One full year.

These clauses travel with our team wherever they go. The same Marcus who checks thermal signatures on a Linear motor in Chandler follows the same documentation protocol on a commercial FAAC system in another city. The same Elena who answers your call at midnight schedules every job with the same written-price requirement. We don’t relax the standard for smaller jobs or rush through the paperwork on busy days. The photo log, the upfront price, and the one-year promise are non-negotiable on every gate we touch.

That’s the crew. If you’ve got a gate that’s sticking, a motor that’s clicking instead of moving, or an access-control system that’s forgotten its remotes, call (520) 827-3159. A live person will answer, schedule the right technician, and make sure you know the price before anyone turns a wrench.
